- I dont think we'll see a Toaster on the PC in awhile, but rumor has it we'll
- see a Flyer PC doing dissolves at the NAB booth this year. Kinda like a
- real expensive PAR concept. Actually if i was NewTek i'd start thinking about
- bridging the gap with some fellow PC video hardware developers. For example
- an Alladin/Flyer system would be nice, but Pinnicale's Alladin ad campagin
- lately has been pretty brutal towards NewTek so that might need more time.
- Its too bad really Pinnicale and NewTek are made for eachother. NewTek cant
- quite do a Flyer for the FAST they already have thier own non-linear,
- Matrox, nah, DVision? nope, Alladin yeah itd be a nice marriage. Pinnicale
- has got the DVES, CG, and a nice Paint system. Add some nonlinear editor
- control and yer there. Besides if and when NewTek does arrive on the scene
- with a PC toaster it's going to be at least 12 months away. By then so many
- other solutions will exist not to mention the whole industry will be
- shifted, and thier competition will have many many many generations above
- them in software.
-
- So if i was NewTek i'd start thinking about a friendly partner. LightWave
- will carry them for awhile, and the Flyers will continue to sell on the
- Amiga, but unless Amiga arrives again, they know that sometime, and soon
- they'll be hurtin for captial.
-
- Hmmm who knows, guess we'll see all the new toys at NAB. My bet is that
- we'll see a Flyer Pc, and maybe a Screamer or two. Afterall its all in the
- marketing right?
